Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Academic Advisor to join our Student Success team. You will provide personalized advising on course selection, degree progress, academic policies, and campus resources. This position involves a hybrid work model, blending in-office student consultations with remote administrative tasks and outreach. Key Responsibilities Provide academic advising to a diverse caseload of undergraduate students regarding course selection, degree requirements, and academic planning. Monitor student academic progress and intervene proactively with at-risk students. Educate students on university policies, procedures, and academic regulations. Assist students in developing educational and career goals, connecting them with relevant campus resources. Conduct individual advising sessions, workshops, and information sessions for students. Maintain accurate and confidential student records using advising software. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other university departments to support student success initiatives. Stay informed about curriculum changes, program requirements, and campus resources. Contribute to the development and improvement of advising services and resources. Serve as a point of contact for students experiencing academic difficulties. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling). Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or a related student affairs role. Strong understanding of higher education academic policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. Proficiency in student information systems and advising software. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Commitment to student development theory and best practices in academic advising. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality. Experience in delivering presentations and facilitating group sessions. Adaptability to a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities. Benefits
