<p><strong>Job Title: Geographic Information System Administrator</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Arlington VA – Once a week</strong></p><p><strong>Duration: Part time</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Architect to join our team.</p><p>A Geographic Information System (GIS) Architect designs, develops, and implements GIS systems and solutions for the OIG and is responsible for ensuring that the GIS infrastructure meets the needs of the business, and that it is scalable, secure, and efficient.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Requirements</strong></p><p>Perform primary ArcGIS Enterprise Administration, including working with the CIO on troubleshooting and infrastructure upgrades.</p><p>License ArcGIS applications and extensions using Concurrent Use Licensing as well as Single Use Licensing.</p><p>Work with Esri Technical Support on deploying cloud-based instances of vendor software on vendor infrastructure.</p><p>Work with Database Administrators to troubleshoot Enterprise Geodatabase issues.</p><p>Manage ArcGIS Online Organization and ArcGIS Enterprise Deployment.</p><p>Monitor ArcGIS Enterprise capacity, usage, CPU, hardware, storage, and services statistics.</p><p>Manage Cloud Infrastructure to host ArcGIS Enterprise Applications.</p><p>Configure Mapping Dashboards or Web Map Applications using Portal for ArcGIS Authoring Tools. Configure mapping dashboards or web map applications using ArcGIS.</p><p>Conduct various Spatial Analysis using Esri Applications to derive actionable insights from data.</p><p>Use scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, and SQL to write and maintain scripts to manipulate data and automate complex workflows, as well as join various databases for analytical processing.</p><p>Write and update technical documentation such as User Manuals, System Documentation, and Training Materials.</p><p>Present information and results to a variety of clients, host training sessions and formal presentations.</p><p>Work independently and within teams to complete varied analytical and GIS-related projects and tasks.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Secondary Requirements</strong></p><p>Excellent Communication Skills – strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills used to effectively interact with customers, collaborate with internal teams, and convey ideas and feedback.</p><p>Analytical Skills – ability to analyze data, feedback, and metrics to derive meaningful insights and make data-driven decisions.</p><p>Customer Service Skills – experience placing the customer at the center of decision-making and continuously striving to exceed customer expectations by staying on top of customer support and complaints while creating a powerful customer experience strategy.</p><p>Problem-Solving Skills – ability to identify and address customer issues, resolve conflicts, and find creative solutions to pain points.</p><p>Adaptability – ability to proactively respond to evolving customer needs, industry trends, and shifting business dynamics.</p><p>Emotional Intelligence – ability to navigate the emotions of both customers and team members while showing empathy when needed.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><p>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related degree with a significant quantitative, mathematical, or analytical component.</p><p>7+ years of specialized experience administering Geographic Information Systems (GIS).</p><p>Deep knowledge of a wide range of GIS and Mapping Systems that can be integrated into Analytics Tools, along with the ability to innovate, test, and deploy new GIS solutions to meet evolving organizational needs.</p><p>Professional experience with Cloud Infrastructure and Databases.</p><p>Knowledge of Logistics, Shipping, Transportation, or Mailing Industries.</p><p>Candidates MUST be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance. Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years and must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><p>Prime Contract Number: 6HQOIG-25-C-0024</p><p>For this position, there will be only one bill rate regardless of hours worked in a day and/or workweek.</p><p>The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561320.
