The Rare Disease (RD) HIT Solutions Account Director will lead the RD HIT strategic approach and customer engagement with identified leading health systems in the defined region. Responsibilities include:
- Working with leading health systems to harness their EHR to improve diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients within aligned therapeutic areas.
- Providing strategic support and guidance for leveraging e-platforms to facilitate the evolution of care from a reactive episodic model to a predictive and proactive management of chronic illness.
- Understanding and applying relevant functionalities, including clinical decision support, patient outreach and education, and bi-directional data sharing.
Role responsibilities include:
- Serving as Pfizer's Liaison with customer representatives (i.e., CIO, CMIO, Quality Director, EHR/EMR Leaders & Analysts) for Health IT-related engagements.
- Providing technical support to the broader Pfizer Account Management community regarding Health IT strategies and resources.
- Providing input into Review Committee (RC) approved, scalable, EHR/EMR enabled tools and resources.
- Being a strategic thought partner within the Pfizer Account Team for trends relating to care management evolution and quality initiatives.
- Serving as a liaison across BUs for Health IT-related issues and informing overall Health IT strategy.
- Attending and sharing insights from major Health IT conferences and Pfizer Health IT summits.
- Flexibility for up to 35% travel.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required.
- EHR certifications or advanced degree in a Health IT/Informatics related field required.
- Significant experience in the functional and technical application of health information technology.
- Experience in both in-patient and ambulatory settings.
- Clinical integration experience across the care continuum.
- Understanding of the Health IT landscape and inter-relationships of players within the space.
- Hands-on experience with top EHR products preferred (e.g., Epic, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, Cerner).
- Understanding of the impact of healthcare reform initiatives on the healthcare environment.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills required.
Requirements
- Cardiovascular and/or Hematology experience preferred.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee the work of colleagues.
- Ideal candidate will reside in the Eastern or Central time zone with easy access to a major airport.
Benefits
- Annual base salary ranging from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00.
- Eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary.
