Ignite Test Prep partners with ambitious students across the U.S. who aim for top scores and admission to elite institutions.<br><strong>Role Description</strong> The Ivy League Remote Tutor will deliver individualized SAT and ACT instruction to high school students across the United States in a full-time, remote capacity. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting one-on-one online tutoring sessions, assigning and reviewing practice tests, and providing detailed feedback on student performance. The tutor will use Ignite’s proprietary curriculum, adapt lesson plans to each learner’s strengths and challenges, and track progress using internal tools and reporting systems. The role also involves mentoring students on study habits, time management, and college readiness, as well as collaborating with the Ignite team to refine strategies and ensure consistent, high-quality results. Clear communication with students and families, including periodic progress updates and goal-setting conversations, is an essential part of this position.<br><strong>Qualifications<br></strong> <ul><li>Strong academic background, ideally from an Ivy League institution or equivalent, with demonstrated expertise in SAT and ACT content and strategy.</li><li>Proven experience in tutoring or teaching standardized test prep, including designing lesson plans, explaining complex concepts clearly, and adjusting instruction based on student performance data.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, motivate students, and provide constructive, supportive feedback to learners and families.</li><li>High level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability, including consistent scheduling, punctuality, and thorough documentation of student progress.</li><li>Comfort with remote work, including proficiency with online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and virtual classroom best practices.</li><li>Commitment to student success, a growth mindset, and a coaching-oriented approach that emphasizes mentorship, confidence-building, and long-term academic development.</li><li>Authorization to work in the United States and availability to work full time, including some evenings and weekends to accommodate student schedules.</li><li>Experience supporting college admissions, application strategy, or extracurricular planning is a plus.</li></ul>
