<p><strong>Ironwood Studios</strong> is a Seattle-based AA game studio that has shipped our first successful title, Pacific Drive, and we’re looking for an experienced <strong>Lead Quality Assurance Tester </strong>to lead our internal QA team on our exciting and unannounced next project.</p> <p>As the Lead QA Tester on the team, you will be responsible for managing the QA team and help shape and quality assurance for Ironwood as a studio. You will also establish, iterate on, and improve testing documentation and processes.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the QA Team and mentor junior QA team members</li> <li>Lead team triage meetings</li> <li>Represent the QA discipline on a leadership level, providing timely and accurate updates related to game quality and escalate critical issues as needed</li> <li>Identify and communicate when additional staffing resources are needed to fulfill testing requirements</li> <li>Plan, create, document, and implement effective test plans for projects</li> <li>Collaborate with production to implement and document procedures for bug ticket creation, tracking, and verifying fixes</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience as a QA tester or QA Lead</li> <li>At least one shipped title as a QA lead OR comparable experience</li> <li>Thoroughly familiar with best QA testing practices including documentation and be capable of contributing if needed</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Experience writing test plans and implementing testing procedures</li> <li>Comfortable testing on multiple platforms</li> <li>Experience with bug/task tracking and test planning 3rd party software </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>PREFERENCES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comfortable in small independent development team settings (less than 25)</li> <li>Familiarity with Jira and Confluence</li> <li>Experience with console submission and certification processes</li> <li>Familiarity working with external testing teams, external playtests, and user research testing</li> <li>Has experienced a full development cycle of production (pre production to post launch support)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Job Type: Full Time Salary</li> <li>Medical/Dental/Disability/Retirement Benefits</li> <li>Revenue-sharing bonus structure</li> <li>Paid sick and vacation time as well as paid holidays and studio week-long breaks</li> <li>Opportunity to join a studio shortly after their first successful launch</li> <li>Onsite in Redmond, WA (relocation aid is available if desired)</li> <li>Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000 USD</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>CONTACT:</strong></p> <p>If you meet most or all of the requirements and Ironwood Studios sounds like a place you’d like to join, let us know!
